В педиатрии радионуклидная диагностика используется в детской урологии (статическая и почечная динамическая сцинтиграфия), детской эндокринологии (сцинтиграфия щитовидной железы), детской травматологии и детской онкологии (скелетная сцинтиграфия, мягкие ткани). Сцинтиграфия ребенка требует обязательного присутствия родителей во время учебы, предварительного объяснения процедуры, психологической подготовки ребенка.
