 В основном это лекарство используется при лечении кашля; в частности, у людей типа Drosera с успехом назначается при коклюше. Животные с симптомами Drosera обычно раздражительные и беспокойные, особенно по ночам и в одиночестве. Симптомы этого средства схожи с симптомами Arsenicum, однако кашель Drosera более выраженный. Ухудшение отмечается ночью и в положении лежа.
 КАШЕЛЬ У ЖИВОТНЫХ. Данное средство также эффективно при трахеобронхите у собак. Показанием к назначению Drosera являются приступы сильного спастического кашля. Отмечается чрезвычайная чувствительность глотки, поэтому прикосновение к горлу и голосовая активность провоцируют возникновение кашлевых приступов. У животных Drosera отмечается необычный симптом - ухудшение кашля в положении лежа. Кашель обычно глубокий, как будто идущий из глубины брюшной полости, и часто сочетается с охриплостью голоса и явлениями ларингита.
