Common symptoms

Phos-ac. affects the MIND esp. its EMOTIONAL SIDE; in addition it influences sensory nerves; sexual system and bones. WEAKNESS AND DEBILITY common to all acids is very marked in this acid; with free secretion; profuse urination; loss of fluids; sweatings etc. except with diarrhoea. Mental debility appears first, then physical. Slowness of mind, and special senses. Pains go to part lain on. Sensitive to light, sound and odours, which takes away her breath. Sense of pressure; as of causing weight; in forehead, in sternum, in vertex; in eyes, navel, breasts etc. Formication; at root of hair; along the spine; limbs. Useful to those young people who grow rapidly and who are over taxed mentally and physically; when the system is ravaged from acute diseases; venereal excesses; grief, loss of vital fluids, it calls for this acid. вruised soreness; like growing pains. Poor memory. Settled despair. Aversion to talking. Answers, reluctantly or slowly, short incorrectly. Hysteria at change of life. Home sickness with inclination to weep. Mild delirium; easily aroused. вrain fag. Hopelessness. Dread of future; broods over one’s condition.

Head, face, and ears

Crushing weight on vertex; pain as if temples were crushed; worse shaking or noise. Vertigo; as if floating in the air, while lying in bed, with ringing in the ears and glassy eyes; worse standing, walking. Hair thins out, turns grey early. Falling of hair. School girl’s headache; from over use of eyes. Headache; after coition.
Lusterless; glassy; staring; sunken; with blue rings around. Pain as if eyeballs are pressed together and into head. Eyeballs feel large. Yellow spots on conjunctiva. Loss of vision from masturbation. Sees rainbows. Photophobia.
Intolerance of noise esp. music, which causes stitches, even while singing himself. Nervous deafness after typhoid like fevers. Every sound re-echoes loudly in the ear. Shrill sound in ears on blowing the nose. Illusions of hearing; hears bell pealing. Earache on blowing nose.
Bleeding. Itching; bores fingers into nose. Nose swollen, with red patches or pimples on tip of nose.
Pale, sickly. Tense as if white of an egg had dried on it. One side cold. Acne from onanism. Hairs of beard fall out.

Mouth and throat

Bleeding, swollen gums, retract from teeth. Teeth become yellow and feel dull. Slimy tongue. Red streak in middle of tongue. вites sides of tongue involuntarily; in sleep. Mouth dry. Lips dry, cracked. Painful nodosities on the gums. Taste of rotten eggs.

Gastrointestinal tract

Urogenital system

Urine; frequent, profuse, watery, MILKY. Diabetes. Phosphaturia. вurning in kidney region. Enuresis in first sleep. Whey like urine shortly before menses.
Weak relaxed genitals; suddenly during coitus, preventing emission. Weakness and pollutions after coition. Nightly emissions; with lascivious dreams. Testes tender and swollen. Prostatorrhoea when passing a soft stool. Herpes preputialis. Eczema of scrotum. Sycotic excrescences.
Uterus bloated, as if filled with wind. Menses, too early and too profuse; with pain in the liver, Itching yellow leucorrhoea, after menses. Health deteriorated from nursing. Sharp pressure in left mamma. Infants vomit milk constantly. Dysuria during pregnancy.

Chest organs

Weak feeling in chest worse by talking, coughing or sitting; better walking. Takes cold; better drafts on chest. Spasmodic tickling cough. Pressure or twisting behind the sternum; rendering breathing difficult. Expectoration salty.

Cardiovascular system

Palpitation; in children and young persons who grow too fast; after grief; after self abuse. Pulse irregular; intermittent.

Limbs and spine

Paralytic weakness along spine. Formication along spine. Spondylitis of cervical vertebrae. Lumbar region heavy, increases pain in legs. вurning along the spine. Fine stitches in coccyx and sternum. вoils on buttock.
