 5-гидроксииндолуксусная кислота в моче (5-HIAA) является индикатором, который отражает особенности метаболизма серотонина. Анализ проводится при мониторинге лечения антидепрессантами, при диагностике желудочно-кишечных карциноидов, опухолей яичников, синдрома гипоталамуса, миоклонической эпилепсии, депрессии и нарушений кровообращения в головном мозге. Тест будет отображаться при наличии симптомов и / или изменений в данных инструментальных исследований (УЗИ, ЭЭГ, МРТ).
