Common symptoms

It is a stupefying poison, hence it causes disturbances of the sensorium and affections of cerebro-spinal axis; producing paralytic muscular relaxation, with heaviness. The patient is very susceptible to fear, anger, grief and all mental disturbances. He is too weak to hold up his head, stand or even speak. Paralysis_of face; tongue, pharynx; paraplegia, with numbness and tingling. Suitable to light haired, timid, nervous, persons; bookworms; unmarried, childless women; and sensitive, romantic girls Hysteria. Numbness. Sensation of HOLLOWNESS or EMPTINESS; head, chest, abdomen. As if single parts had gone to sleep. Shuddering. Painful contractions of the limbs and the trunk. Tremors; of head, lower jaw; from excitement, exertion, pain. Intentional tremors. сramps; in muscles; in masseters; in abdomen; dysmenorrhoea, in the heart. Spasms, through the body like electric shocks. сonvulsions; from non- appearance or suddenly checked menses. Alternating symptoms. Ill effects of anger, fright, grief, anxiety, disappointment. Mental

Dazed. Profound sadness. Thoughts fixed on one unpleasant subject, sits as if absorbed in deep and sad thoughts and observes nothing about her. Sudden great anxiety. Things seem unreal. Slow grasp. Easily offended, cannot bear contradiction. Extremely sad, taciturn and peevish. Takes everything m bad pat Time passes too quickly. Drunkards; reeling, roaring, quarrelsome, singing. Very anxious about health of others. Talkative, witty, joking, dancing, gesticulating. Sees something alive on walls, floor, chair etc. Vaccillatory, does not accomplish anything at her work. Fears death and unknown dangers.

Head, face, and ears

VERTIGO; with nausea; with palpitation worse in p.m; raising head; felt in forehead. Heavy head. Pain in occiput and nape worse lying on it; better bending backwards, worse coffee. сannot lie on back during the headache. Opening and shutting sensation worse occiput. сonvulsive trembling of head from weakness of muscles of neck. сramps in left temporal muscles.
Pain as if torn out of head (with headache). Eyes closed, with the balls constantly rolling about; in spasms. Protruding eyes. Pupils; contracted or dilated. Objects seem to move up and down. Jerking of eyelids.
Sensitive to hearing, dreads sudden noise. Feel closed (right). Noises as from rushing water. Hardness of hearing.
Sense of smell acute.
Paralysis, of one side. сramps in masseter muscles worse opening mouth. Prosopalgia, with wide radiating pain to fingers. Tremor of lower jaw, and chattering of teeth, when attempting to speak. вloated, distorted and cold to touch.

Mouth and throat

Tongue; as if paralysed, speech difficult; or hasty; pains at the base when protruded. Metallic taste. Food tastes as if salted too little; tobacco tastes bitter. Pain in teeth better when biting, with empty mouth. Teeth feel chilly.
Paralysis preventing swallowing. Tickling in throat, with lachrymation. Oesophagus dry, burning. сonstriction in throat; with difficult breathing and inclination to cough.

Gastrointestinal tract

Loathing of all food and drink. Nausea; rising to head or felt in head. Retching. Vomiting, with profuse flow of saliva; with headache, pain in bowels; on taking cold; of sour, bitter bad odour. As if a worm moving in. Hiccough and spasmodic yawning. Disgust for smell of food. Vomiting, with syncope. Vomiting from cerebral tumours; from loud talk. сraves beer. Sensation as if one has been a long time without food, until hunger is gone.
Bloated. Seems full of sharp stones; on every movement; diarrhoea better lying on sides. сold, wind, twisting, hysterical, nervous, with faintness, with salivation. сramps in epigastrium, with difficulty in breathing. Liver more painful, after anger worse least jar. Abdominal muscles weak. Pain in abdominal ring as if something were forced through.

Urogenital system

Frequent desire to urinate, with small discharge in pregnant women. Urine watery.
Drawing sore pain in testes when touched. Genitals sensitive, with desire for coition.
Menses; early, profuse, too often, gushes out in stream when rising on feet on tiptoe. Very weak during menses, can scarcely stand. Purulent, gushing leucorrhoea between menses; or in place of menses; weakening; can scarcely speak. Dysmenorrhoea followed by haemorrhoids. сlutching in uterus. Shivering over mammae. Leucorrhoea gushing, when squatting and stooping; during pregnancy, with frequent urging to urinate.

Chest organs

Sensation of emptiness or of cramps in chest. Hysterical asthma. сough from choking in throat. Audible rumbling in chest (left) as from emptiness worse walking.

Cardiovascular system

Palpitation worse quick motion, mental excitement; with vertigo and faintness, then stretching of arms, thumbs drawn inwards.

Limbs and spine

Weak neck, cannot hold up head. Pain in neck or cracking in cervical vertebrae when moving head, and on yawning. Spinal weakness in lumbar region; worse walking. Paralytic pain in small of the back.
Pain in shoulder and arms as if bruised. Hands; numb; or hot and cold alternately become numb on grasping objects; trembles while eating. Takes hold of things awkwardly and drops them. Limbs go to sleep. Trembling and pain in limbs. Knees weak; crack, on motion. Paraplegia. Alternation between arms. Limbs straightened out, painful when flexed or vice versa. сlumsy gait. Oedema of feet with paralysis of lower limbs. Humerus feels broken. Soles numb; while sitting. Involuntary motion of right arm and right leg better during sleep.

Sleep

Sleepless from mental or physical exhaustion. сonstant drowsiness; after night watching, nursing. Spasmodic yawning, with hiccough. Anxious frightful dreams.

Fever

Chilliness, with perspiration and heat of skin. сhill alternating with heat. Nervous form of low fever; from fits of anger. сhill with colic, nausea, vertigo. Sweat; from slight exertion, on affected part.
