Показан при подозрении на пищевую аллергию, эозинофильный энтероколит, паразитарные инвазии, аутоиммунные заболевания кишечника, а также для контроля за соблюдением элиминационной диеты. Нейротоксин высвобождается из активированных эозинофилов при контакте с чужеродными антигенами и служит маркером иммуноопосредованного воспаления в кишечном тракте.
