Common symptoms
This remedy produces congestion in pelvic organs esp. anus, rectum and uterus; resulting in haemorrhoids and constipation esp. in females. It is useful in affections due to piles or alternating with piles esp. heart. сongestion in portal system causes chronic nasal, gastric and pharyngeal catarrh. сonstipation of children from intestinal atony. Sensations of constriction and feeling of enlargement are felt in various parts and organs of the body, limbs, vulva, clitoris etc. When given before operation on rectal disease it is apt to reduce, after complications. Dropsy from cardiac disease.

Head, face, and ears
Dull frontal headache, with constipation or piles or from suppressed haemorrhoidal discharge.

Tongue yellow, with bitter taste.

Gastrointestinal tract
Dull distress in liver region. Heavy digging ache in pelvis. Diarrhoea; acrid, destroying hair. Stools; light coloured, lumpy, with hard straining. Mucus or black stools. сonstipation, or piles of pregnancy. Rectum; aches, burns, seems dry and full of sticks or sand; with cardiac pain. Piles; bleeding; chronic; alternating with heart, chest or rheumatic symptoms. Prolapsus ani. Itching of anus. Alternate constipation and diarrhoea. сhronic diarrhoea of children. Palpitation; in pile subjects. After heart symptoms are relieved piles or menses return.
Limbs and spine
Sensation as if limbs were enlarged. Lower limbs seem not to belong to him.
Fever
Flushes of heal; with oppressive breathing; with piles.
