Common symptoms

 This remedy should be thought of when the discharges of MUCUS MEMBRANES are persistently acrid, profuse, thick, gluey, yellow like honey, in chronic affections; and thin in acute conditions. Discharges cause вURNING of the part on which they flow. Its symptoms are very similar to the symptoms of early stage of tuberculosis, with afternoon rise of temperature. In chronic inflammatory state of the lungs and bronchial tubes, the expectoration is greenish-yellow, pus-like, with short breadth, there is a profound prostration, emaciation, recurring fever and sweats and tendency to diarrhoea. It is a remedy for senile heart, and myocarditis and fatty degeneration of the heart. Heart weakened by chronic lung affections. Sensations of heaviness occurs in many parts. Axillary tumours. Erethistic weakness; debility.

Modalities

 Dry, cold weather. Windy, foggy weather. Exertion. In room. Apples. Tobacco smoke.
 Open air.

Mental

 Unable to study, study causes headache.

Head, face, and ears

 Vertigo with tremulous feeling esp. in aged. Dull heavy headache, across forehead or occiput. Study causes headache. Pain over the root of nose, as if she would go silly.
 Eye balls feel heavy.
 Foul otorrhoea. Tympanum thickened. Hypertrophy of eustachian tube; deafness from.

 Short of breath; air hunger. Hacking cough. Expectoration, yellow-green, foul Asthma, in phthisis. Pneumonia that fails to clear up. вurning heat in chest. Tubercular pleurisy. hoarseness. Aphonia.

Cardiovascular system

 Weak, irritable. Pulse rapid, irritable.

Limbs and spine

 Burning heat in lumbar region, as if clothes were on fire_.
 Pain in humerus worse writing. сlothes feel cold better walking.

Fever

 Recurrent fever with sweat. Drenching night sweats, with weakness. сhilly, cannot endure cold.

Skin

 Dry, harsh, dusky. Psoriasis. Ichthyosis. Marked exfoliation of skin in large scales leaving a exudating surface beneath. Acne hard, shotty. Venereal bubo. Eczema of beard worse washing.
