Целью исследования является оценка анатомо-функциональных особенностей венозной сети, обеспечивающей кровоток из структур головного мозга. Во время МРТ венографии головного мозга тромбоз вен и синусов головного мозга, изменения в архитектонике венозных сосудов (гипоплазия, стеноз, дилатация), пороки развития вен Могут быть обнаружены с высокой степенью точности; МРТ венография внутричерепных вен и пазух часто выполняется в сочетании с МРТ головного мозга, а также с МР ангиографией мозговых артерий. При необходимости можно использовать внутривенное контрастирование.
