 Preparation: Trituration with sugar of milk.

 Emotional. Strange notions and apprehensions during pregnancy. Exaltation; thinks he has something of importance. Singing, in walking through the whole house, entire day. Sang more than usual, but did not feel at all merry; singing involuntary. Happy disposition, after perspiring in the evening. Exhilarated, felt as if he had received joyful intelligence, all day. Anxiety of mind, restlessness, with great prostration; with pain in the heart; with the headache. Feeling as if I had heard, or was about to hear something bad; morose and crabbed feelings until 4 P. M. (fourth day). Mind much depressed; felt as if something disagreeable was about to happen (third day). Feeling as if something annoying was about to happen; goes off when thinking of it. He cannot prevent ideas of something awful about to happen, or as if he would do something awful. An indescribable idea, which I could not shake off, of something dreadful about to happen to me; all day feeling as if some great misfortune were about to occur. Irritability. Irritable, with headache. Feel irritable; spoke short to the children (ninth day). Very irritable at trifles. Am extremely irritable, or rather feel stern (sixth day). Disposed to get mad. Impatient all day. Impatient all day, with headache. сross and hypochondriac in the evening. Felt very cross; did not want to converse or see any one. Very cross and crabbed until 10. 30 P. M., when I fell asleep. Very cross, so much so that my children expressed great surprise; took offence at the merest trifles; scolded my wife and children; could not concentrate my mind on anything. The last day or two feel more morose; caught myself saying to nephew, in severe tone, If you do that again, etc., when he was not really in fault. Offended at everything; gives offensive answers. Inclined to use offensive expressions. Thought came into his mind to attack others in a mean way; to cut others with a knife he holds; to throw water he has in a tumbler into another’s face. Occasionally exhilarated, then again morose, both feelings going off very readily on conversions. Intellectual. There seems to be two distinct trains of thought operating at one and the same time. Plays chess much better, but cannot relate a story. Undecided about little things. Have found it difficult through the whole proving to think intently, and at times almost impossible (seventh day). Restlessness in the mind during the forenoon and at noon. A strange oppression and indifference, as if he was unable to do anything if he forces himself; there is no power in the mind. Dulness and stupidity (second day); at night with restlessness. Memory for words much better. He loses consciousness for a moment.

 Vertigo. Vertigo while sitting, and after rising or walking he staggers. Slight vertigo when rising from a chair (sixth day). Dizzy, as if he could not hold the head. After stooping dizzy, and losing sight. Dizzy headache (eleventh day). Dizzy headache all day, spirits not depressed (third day). A dizzy dulness in the vertex, he fears he will fall while walking, in the evening. Slight dizziness and nausea (sixth day). While stooping, giddiness on the right. After lying down in bed, a giddy like shock in the upper part of brain. General Head. Rush of blood to the head while lying down. Lightness in head. Lightness (of head) after nausea. Dulness (of head). Have had all day a singular sensation in head (third day). Feels as if a leaden ball was rolling about in the brain. Pain in the head (fifth day). Slight pain in head and heart (fourth day). Pain from mouth up through head, and down to back of neck, quite severe. Pain in head, which was very severe till 9 p. m. (fourth day). Intense pain in head, extending back of forehead to organ of firmness, at 2 p. m.; soon after to whole top of head, or to eyes, lasting all day (second day). вurning waving towards the head. After moving, turning, stooping, feels as if head would burst. Head feels as if it would split, and a great pressure on top. Dull, heavy pain in the head. Headache all day (fourth day); (sixth day). Some headache and pain in eyes (sixth day). Walked out and had headache, or after walking five minutes felt sharp pain across the eyebrows or up the nose; felt exceedingly fatigued and weary after a short walk (fourth day). Headache in the bones. Towards noon slight headache. At noon slight headache, lasting all day. Headache severe,; (fifth day). No pains till 3 p. m., when head ached severely until 9 p. m. Headache quite severe all day, and implicating eyes; feel lazy, requires an effort to think (fourth day). Headache quite severe. At 3 p. m. headache very severe. A severe, impatient headache through the whole morning. A very intolerable, snappish, irritable headache for three days, with the jaws stiff and sore, the hands numb (after nearly a month). Head ache alternately with flushes in face. Afternoon pain in head, sick headache. сonsiderable pressing pain in head (seventh day). Tearing and shooting like in the bone (of the head). Irritable headache; touching the head makes it ache (sixth day). Throbbing headache in forehead, vertex, and occiput, down to the neck. Throbbing, pulsating headache, most severe in right temple and over right eye. Headache all day, most severe in right temple, beating, throbbing, and pulsating. A slow vacillation or waving of the head from losing something in the upper part of the head. Dulness in the middle of the brain where it waves and moves. Shocks (in head) like dizziness. Headache relieved by cold air. Forehead. Dulness in the forehead, more to the right side. Pain in forehead, in the protuberances, soon. Pain in the head, greatest one and a half inches above left eye, Great pain in head, from temple to temple, all days. Slight burning pain in forehead. Dull pain in forehead, especially on the left side, with a stupid feeling. Dull, heavy pain in forehead, and sharp, pricking pain in left temple sometimes attended with throbbing and pinching. Severe, heavy dull pain in forehead, lasting five hours. During the afternoon and evening, headache over the eyes. Head aches severely from temple to temple (fifth day). Pressing pain on top of forehead, with sensation of heat, Pressive pain in forehead and vertex, worse after moving the head and stopping Pressing pain on top of fore head, while reading and thinking, in the afternoon, with restlessness of mind, Violent pressing outwards in forehead; the patient put the head towards the wall. At 9 p. m., severe shooting pains in the head over the eyes, and in the temples, also a very violent, aching pain inside of and all over the chest (second day), Severe headache from temple to temple, of a throbbing beating nature (fifth day). Temples. Pain in the temples form the jaws. Numbness in left side of head. Right side of head, feels stiff as if it would become numb (third day). Pressure in the left side of head with boring and shooting inwards, extends to forehead and eyes, in the evening. Tearing from forehead towards left side Left side of head is now, and has always been, most severely affected (sixth day). Occiput. Dulness in occiput, after awhile becoming painful. Slight pain in head, back part (seventh day), Pressing on occiput. Upper Side. External Head. My hair, which is usually dry has become very oily today, the first time I remember such an occurrence (third day). Skin of head seems contracted and pinched up (fifth day). Scalp very sensitive, Whenever I put my finger on my head, there is always a strong subsequent pain, lasting a considerable time. Itching in acquisitiveness in the morning (fifth day) on right side of vertex something comes from within and itches.
 Eye.
 Objective. Eyes somewhat red and inflamed (the cornea). No pain, but eyes still slightly red, and occasional stitches in right temple. Eyes bloodshot and painful (fourth day). Inflammation in eyes during the day (tenth day). Inflammation of one eye; frothy matter pours out between the lids pimples around the eye since the bite of a dog in the finger. Subjective. Weakness of eyes when looking upwards. Great weakness in eyes, but no pain. Some pain in eyes (eight day) вurning in eyes. Headache not severe; pain extends into right eye. (fourth day). Eyes ached intensely, soreness in eyes ) ((fourth day). Soreness in eyes, and pain in forehead above them (second day). Soreness in eyes and throat, and difficulty in swallowing (fourth day) Drawing, beating pain over the eyes and into the balls, A curious stinging pain in left eye, extending to forehead, over right eye painful, at 9 p.m (third day). Tickling and heat in eyes, from the neck. вrow. Pain over the left eye previous to retiring (fourth day) Pain in small spot over right eyebrow, rendered worse by writing, Pain over the right eye inwards, pressing the temple, sharp pain across eyebrows, afterwards burning in the eyelids (fifth day). Drawing beating pain over the eye and into the balls. Lids. Eyelids as if they were lame, or were firmly closed, in the morning. вurning in the lids. вurning вalls. Vision. Left eye extremely sensitive to light, and weeps; unusual with me, my eyes being very strong, Dimness of sight, with giddiness. Something moves before the eyes, but always at a distance from the place she looks at.
 Ear.
 Rush of blood to right ear, after it a pressure, as if from a dull point. Ears feel very stiff, вuzzing in right ear. Rushing noise, like water falling, in the left ear.
 Nose.
 Objective. Frequent sneezing, ceases after his attention is called to it. Often coagulated blood in the nose. Subjective. Pain in nose (second day). Pain in the nose and right neck and side feel very stiff, most about the jaws (fifth day). Nose pains from thinking, Headache extends into the nose, Sharp pain runs up the nose. Nose feels bruised (fifth day). Tickling in nose. Itching in nose (all day). Smell. My sense of smell, which is always extremely acute, became painful, so, particularly in reference to unpleasant effluvia; the action of the nostrils was extremely painful, The greatest sensibility to the smell of tobacco; Tastes the snuff, while the box is one foot distant.
 Face.
 Objective. Paleness and qualmishness, Quivering in the face. Slight twitchings in face and hands. Face pale yellow, nearly brown. Subjective. Heat in the face after drinking coffee. Heat in the face, with redness. Heat in face, and soreness of left cheek, from thinking, It draws about in right side of face. сheeks. Quick drawing from the right malar bone towards nose, Feelings as if beaten in the face, left side of mouth. Something seems gnawing right cheekbone (fifth day). Rending pain in right upper jaw towards the ear: Jaws ache with the headache. Shooting pains in upper jaw сhina вiting snapping, with convulsions. Several severe twitches in jaws. Jaws feel stiff, and a disposition to gape, Jaws stiff and sore, with headache (After nearly a month) вoth jaws feel stiff; tingling in cheek bones (third day). Jaw quite stiff at times, more painfully so than before (tenth day). Jaw ache nearly all day, and pressure on top of head most severe. While reading, jaws began to ache; the longer I read, the more they ached, gaped frequently (seventh day). It seems to make the jaws ache to write (second day). Jaws ache severely (second day). Jaws feel sore and stiff; have a great disposition to press the hand against the lower jaw. Jawbone feels quite sore.

 Teeth. Teeth feel on edge (second day). Pain in roots of back teeth. All the teeth ache. Headache and earache extend into the teeth. Teeth very sensitive; pulsation in teeth of upper jaw. Toothache during pregnancy. Gums. Gums painful. Tongue. Pain in the root of the tongue and left side of throat (second day). General Mouth. Feeling of coldness (in mouth), like essence of peppermint. Felt as if the velum pendulum palati was elongated; examining, found it not so, but was slightly inflamed (fifth day). Have had, quite a sore mouth, feels as if there were lumps in it. Have had, for a week previous to taking medicine, a dry, parched mouth, with great thirst; now mouth full of saliva, and total disinclination to drink (third day). Saliva. Increase of saliva, not more viscid than usual (third day). Towards noon, slight increase of saliva, Much saliva. Much Saliva, not thicker than ordinary (sixth day). Great flow of saliva and difficulty in swallowing liquids (second day). Saliva more plentiful, but thin, and of a yellow color (fifth day). Much viscid saliva (second day). A large quantity of viscid saliva in mouth, causing me to spit an unusual quantity (third day). A very large amount of viscid saliva, and an increase of oil in the hair (fourth day). Saliva more viscid constant spitting, feeling of general malaise all over, without pain, or knowing where to locate it (fourth day). Saliva very viscid, not more copious than usual, saliva very viscid and plentiful, sore throat all day (third day). A great flow of spittle (third day). A great flow of mucous spittle (second day). Much tenacious mucus in mouth and throat. Taste. All through this proving, could not get any food to taste of salt, though I used more than usual.
 Throat.
 Objective. Inflammation of the throat (Braung). Slight inflammation of throat and fauces as far as I could see (third day) Throat much inflamed, some difficulty in swallowing, Much mucus in throat and nose (fourth day). During the day, bile rises in the throat; an unusual quantity of tough saliva in mouth and throat. A terrible pain in throat all day, and great pain in swallowing, Great heat in the throat and around the heart (second day). The throat feels as though I had swallowed a small quantity of red pepper (fourth day). At 3 p. m. felt a strange constrictive sensation in back part of throat never experienced before; at 4 p. m., Worse, could not swallow without great pain; went off at 6 p. m.; returned in an hour, lasting till 10 p. m. Violent spasms of throat at 2 p. m., feeling as if I was about to be suffocated; went of at 9 p. m., Sore throat, Sore throat, all day (fourth day) Throat feels sore and as if swelled. Sore throat, constant desire to swallow (second day) Sore throat increased saliva no inflammation, as far as I could see though it felt as if inflamed, and hotter than usual (seventh day,). Sore throat, constant desire to swallow. Very slight sore throat, constant desire to swallow (second day) Sore throat increased, slight difficulty in swallowing liquids, much saliva, rather more viscid than usual (third day). Sore throat, not able to swallow without great pain (fifth day). Sore throat and headache all day. Slight sore throat, difficult in swallowing liquids; this time a real difficulty; epiglottis appeared partially paralyzed (this symptom continued three days in several persons, going off by degrees); no difficulty in swallowing solids. Slight sore throat. Throat quite sore, headache in both temples, numbness in both arms, slight pain in lumbar region all day, Quite a sore throat, constrictive sensation much worse when at tempting to swallow liquids, which I could not do without pain; solids not painful. Violent sore throat, quite inflamed, couldn’t swallow liquids ran through the nose, Very violent sore throat; soreness over whole body, as if beaten, soreness in throat from 11 p.m till noon. Soreness and suffocation in back of throat at 10 p.m Throat feels raw and as if about to become very sore (fifth day). (burning down in the oesophagus. A desire to swallow, and spittle more copious and viscid than usual, сonstant desire to swallow (third day). (sixth day). сonstant effort to swallow or dislodge mucus, which seems glued between nose and throat (eight day). Feeling of suffocation has left the throat, but still I have difficulty in swallowing also soreness in the eyes. вut not the pain above them (third day) Slight difficulty in swallowing, Great difficulty in swallowing; sore throat (second day), Just before talking first morning does, felt as if was unable to swallow; tried to mouthful of cold water, swallowed it readily, but with a kind of aching in throat, followed by a slight burning; this burning lasted all day (fourth day) Feel as if I was going to have the mumps (second day). Rending and tearing pain in right jugular bone, Gnawing in right jugular bone.

 Abdomen.
 Hypochondria. Pressing pain in hypochondriac regions after quick walking. Painful throbbing, like an abscess, in the hypochondriac regions. Gnawing pressure in the left hypochondriac region. Tearing from left (hypochondriac region) to right. Pain in region of liver and right kidney. General Abdomen. Difficult and impeded passage of wind, burning waving and rolling in abdomen). Feeling of coldness and burning waving and rolling in abdomen. Violent bellyache. Pressive drawing and wrenching sensations (in abdomen). Shooting in abdomen. Shooting in right side of abdomen. Iliac Region. Glands in groins swelled very much and pained greatly for two hours (sixth day); not much abated (seventh day). Pain in both groins; the right groin has two little balls swelled very much and under the skin quite painful (fifth day). Much pain in right groin and slight swelling there at 2 p. m. (fifth day) Dull pressure above the right groin, on a small, distinct paint. A dragging pain in both groins.
 Rectum and Anus.
 Piles protrude вlood from anus during menstruation. вright red blood from anus, with a horrible burning and stinging like thorns, sphincter (ani) closes violently. Pulsation outside of anus.
 Stool.
 Diarrhoea. Diarrhoea without pain in the morning with pain in the morning. Softer stool than usual.

 Appetite. вetter appetite than usual, Appetite to day and yesterday perfectly ravenous, Likes cold apple butter. Little appetite in the morning. Aversion and disgust to everything fat, particularly mutton. Thirst. Not thirsty these two weeks. Nausea and Vomiting. Nausea, with pale face, after diarrhoea. Sickness of the stomach after eating eggs or fat meat; nausea giddiness and headache. Vomiting of the supper at night. Stomach. Noise in the stomach like bubbles of water; pressure like something pointing. Pressing inwards in pit of stomach after eating.

 Bladder. сold and burning feeling in bladder; pain in sphincter. Urethra. After urinating, flow of prostatic juice. вurning and tenesmus in region of prostate and down urethra Tickling burning in urethra after urination. Micturition. Urging to urinate. Very frequent urination. Very copious watery urine. Urine. More urine and brighter colored. Urine brown turbid with reddish or whitish sediment.
 Sexual organs.
 Male. Great weakness of the male parts; they feel empty, as if gone; bearing down in urethra. Tickling and burning on corona glandis, with some greenish pus, Aching in testicles, Lascivious ideas and erection, afternoon. Indifference during erection, and even during coition. Nightly emission in sleep, with dreams, No sperm during coition; the sperm passed off in sleep. Female. During the day, great pain, extending from uterus into breast and right side of abdomen (seventh day), вearing down in uterine region. Sharp pains in uterus shooting down to labia. Slimy leucorrhoea during the proving menstruation after fifty days, with headache, menstruation after two weeks with hemorrhoids, pulsation in anus, and weakness of back Taken three days after menstruation is over, it reappears in two cases.

 Sighing. Sighing with oppression of breathing. Sighing with pain in heart.
 Chest.
 Rush of blood from the chest upwards with toothache during pregnancy. Pain from within outwards, in right side, Pain in left side, Dull pricking pain in left side from head to waist.

 Slight pain in heart and head (fourth day).

 Back.
 Pain in back and both groins, Aching in loins into back. Aching from loins down to feet, Drawing downwards (in loins).
 Extremities.
 Severe pain in all the joints.
 Superior Extremities.
 Numbness in both arms. Hands numb, with the headache (after nearly a month).
 Inferior Extremities.
