 УЗИ мочеполовой системы у ребенка включает оценку состояния почек и мочевого пузыря, органов мошонки у мальчиков, матки и яичников у девочек. Ультрасонография мочеполового тракта ребенка может быть назначена детским урологом для выявления врожденных аномалий урогенитального тракта, изменений в анализе мочи, болей в животе, нарушений мочеиспускания, поражений брюшной полости и мошонки. В детской гинекологии ультразвуковые исследования органов малого таза выполняются у женщин в предпубеременном и пубертатном возрасте для выявления пороков развития и воспалительных заболеваний репродуктивных органов, кистозных изменений в яичнике и причин нарушений менструального цикла.
