 Методы эндоскопических исследований в гастроэнтерологии включают прямое исследование внутренних поверхностей трубчатых или брюшных органов с использованием эндоскопических устройств. В гастроэнтерологии эндоскопическое исследование подлежит пищеводу, желудку, двенадцатиперстной кишке (эзофагоскопия, гастроскопия, дуоденоскопия, эзофагогастродуоденоскопия), общего желчного протока (интраоперационная холедокоскопия). Эндоскопические манипуляции в гастроэнтерологии выполняются с использованием гибких стеклопластиковых эндоскопов, предназначенных для исследуемого органа. Эндоскопические технологии позволяют отбирать диагностический материал, проводить терапевтические и хирургические вмешательства.
