Description

 Интрамедуллярное удаление опухоли проводится для декомпрессии спинного мозга, устранения опухолевых кист, восстановления циркуляции спинномозговой жидкости, повышения эффективности лучевого или химиотерапевтического лечения. Такие раковые заболевания обычно проникают в спинной мозг инфильтрационно и четко не отделены от ткани головного мозга, поэтому их полное удаление невозможно. Операция состоит из продольного рассечения спинного мозга и удаления интрамедуллярной опухоли. Для декомпрессии после манипуляций на спинном мозге шов твердой мозговой оболочки не выполняется. Наиболее полезно для удаления эпендимом, потому что они часто отделены от ткани мозга и могут быть выделены практически полностью.
