Common symptoms

 Cramps lasting half an hour (after a quarter of an hour). Excessive restlessness.

Mental

 Complete loss of consciousness for many hours.

Head, face, and ears

 Slight headache.
 Eyes.
 Eyes watery.
 Face.
 Face red. Pale and puffy look.

Mouth and throat

 Tongue dry and whitish. Lips and mucous membrane of the mouth pale.
 Throat.
 Feeling of constriction in the throat and oesophagus. Violent pains, and a feeling of great heat in the pharynx and oesophagus. Swallowing difficult and painful.

Gastrointestinal tract

 Nausea without vomiting. Epigastric region. Painful to pressure.
 Abdomen.
 Distension of the abdomen. Abdomen painful. Intolerable pain in the upper abdominal region; on putting the hand on the stomach or throat, most violently convulsive contractions in the stomach. Violent colic pains.
 Stool.
 Copious. Watery diarrhoea smelling of the chlorine.

Chest organs

 The larynx and whole anterior cervical region are painful to pressure. Voice hoarse. Paroxysms from coughs from time to time. Incessant cough, with difficult respiration.
 Chest.
 Chest pressed together, and watery froth exuding from the mouth.

Fever

 Coldness of the extremities. Skin hot, somewhat moist. Forehead covered with sweat.

Cardiovascular system

 Pulse full and rapid. Pulse regular, 76-78). Pulse soft, scarcely to be counted.
