Interactions Retinol with Ferrous sulfate+Folic acid+Cyanocobalamin
-
Dangerous interactions
- The use of folic acid can reduce the plasma levels of phenobarbital, phenytoin or primidone and cause an epileptic seizure.
- Pharmaceutically (in one syringe) incompatible with solutions of vitamins B1 and B6 (cobalt ion contributes to the destruction of other vitamins).
- Increases the likelihood of allergic reactions caused by vitamin B1.
-
Negative interactions
- Organic acids, calcium salts, phosphates, phytin, cholestyramine, as well as antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, and calcium, disrupt iron absorption due to the formation of insoluble complexes.
- With the simultaneous use of phenobarbital, carbamazepine, valproate, sulfasalazine, hormonal contraceptives, folic acid antagonists, trimethoprim, pyrimethamine and triamterene, the digestibility of folic acid decreases.
- When used simultaneously with chloramphenicol, neomycin, polymyxins, tetracyclines, folic acid absorption decreases.
- Antacids, colestyramine, sulfonamides (including sulfasalazine) they reduce the absorption of folic acid.
- Antacids should be used 2 hours after taking folic acid, colestyramine 4-6 hours before or 1 hour after taking folic acid.
- Methotrexate, pyrimethamine, triamterene, trimethoprim inhibit dihydrofolate reductase and reduce the effect of folic acid (instead, patients using these drugs should be prescribed calcium folinate).
- With the combined use of folic acid and capecitabine, the toxicity of the latter may increase.
- Thiamine (vitamin B1) (A11DA01) + Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) => Increased allergic reaction.
- When taking oral contraceptives, metformin and antipsychotic drugs (such as olanzapine and risperidone), the concentration of vitamin B12 in the blood serum may be reduced.
- Chloramphenicol can weaken the effect of vitamin B12 in anemia.
- Prolonged exposure to nitric oxide can cause functional vitamin B deficiency12 and possible serious neurological side effects even with normal vitamin B values12.

Positive interactions
- Analgesics (long-term therapy), anticonvulsants (in pm phenytoin and carbamazepine), estrogens, oral contraceptives increase the need for folic acid.
-
Unclear interactions
- Retinol + Ferrous sulfate analgin and citramon are used together in 47 preparations.
- Retinol + Folic acid analgin and citramon are used together in 99 preparations.
- If you use the above or other medications (including over-the-counter ones), consult your doctor before using Folic Acid forte.
- Retinol + Cyanocobalamin analgin and citramon are used together in 63 preparations.
- Absorption of vitamin B12 may be impaired by the use of proton pump inhibitors (e.g. omeprazole), blockers of H2-histamine receptors (e.g. cimetidine), colchicine, aminoglycosides (e.g. neomycin), aminosalicylic acid, antiepileptic drugs, salts potassium, methyldopa, as well as against the background of alcohol intake.

Decoding the colors of interactions and contraindications
| Dangerous | — | a pronounced negative interaction or contraindication. |
| Negative | — | negative interaction or side effect that may reduce effectiveness. |
| Positive | — | the interaction can SOMETIMES be used as a positive (often a dose adjustment is needed), or it is an indication. |
| No | — | the drugs do NOT interact, which is separately indicated in the instructions. |
| Unclear | — | the system failed to pre-assess the danger. |
