Description

 Внутриглазное давление вызвано жидкостью, которая появляется внутри глаза из-за утечки цилиарного тела, которая вытекает из глаза через угол его передней камеры, тогда как измерение внутриглазного давления основано на определении степени эластичности поверхности глазного яблока. Чем больше внутриглазное давление, тем меньше деформируется поверхность глаза (роговица) под давлением на нее. Различные методы измерения внутриглазного давления направлены на выявление начальных форм глаукомы, определение степени ее выраженности, оценку динамики внутриглазного давления в процессе лечения. Контактная и бесконтактная тонометрия являются одними из наиболее часто используемых методов определения внутриглазного давления.
