Dangerous interactions
In patients with HIV, in the absence of a possible or detected decrease in sensitivity to atazanavir, it is recommended to use a combination of atazanavir 400 mg /ritonavir 100 mg with omeprazole at a maximum dose of 20 mg once a day (or another drug from the proton pump inhibitor group at an equivalent dose). Alternatively, the combination of atazanavir 300 mg /ritonavir 100 mg can be used once a day with meals simultaneously with H2-histamine receptor blockers, 2 hours before and at least 10 hours after the use of H2-histamine receptor blockers at a dose not exceeding the dose corresponding to 20 mg famotidine. -
Negative interactions
Ritonavir and Atazanavir belong to the same pharmaceutical group: Drugs for the treatment of HIV infection. Ritonavir and Atazanavir belong to the same pharmaceutical group: HIV protease inhibitors. For complete information on the interactions of drugs with ritonavir, you should read the instructions for the use of ritonavir. The use of didanosine capsules coated with an intestinal membrane (400 mg) together with atazanavir or with the drugs atazanavir (300 mg) and / or ritonavir (100 mg) and food reduces the bioavailability of didanosine. In the case of co-administration with tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, atazanavir (300 mg) should be prescribed together with ritonavir (100 mg); the dose of tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is 300 mg (single doses for all drugs, with food). The combined use of the combination of atazanavir 300 mg / ritonavir 100 mg (1 time per day) with boceprevir at a dose of 800 mg (3 times a day) leads to a decrease in the concentration of atazanavir in the blood, which in turn may cause a decrease in the effectiveness of therapy and loss of control over infection. With the combined use of atazanavir 400 mg or a combination of atazanavir 300 mg / ritonavir 100 mg with omeprazole 40 mg (all drugs once a day), there is a significant decrease in the concentration of atazanavir in blood plasma, which can lead to a decrease in the therapeutic activity of the drug and to the development of resistance. In such patients, the combination of atazanavir 300 mg / ritonavir 100 mg should be used once a day with food 2 hours before and at least 12 hours after the use of H2-histamine receptor blockers (once a day) at a dose corresponding to 40 mg famotidine. With the combined use of trazodone and ritonavir, nausea, dizziness, decreased blood pressure and short-term loss of consciousness have been reported. It is recommended to reduce doses: sildenafil - 25 mg no more often than every 48 hours when used with or without ritonavir; tadalafil - 10 mg no more often than every 72 hours when used with or without ritonavir; vardenafil - 2.5 mg no more often than every 72 hours when used with ritonavir and 2.5 mg no more than every 24 hours when used without ritonavir; monitoring of adverse reactions is necessary. Inhaled/nasal glucocorticosteroids (interaction with ritonavir). When ritonavir was co-administered with fluticasone propionate in healthy volunteers, the concentration of cortisol was significantly reduced due to a significant increase in the concentration of fluticasone in plasma. When ritonavir and inhaled (or intranasal) fluticasone propionate drugs were used together, the development of systemic side effects of glucocorticosteroids (Itsenko-Cushing syndrome, adrenal cortex depression) was noted. -
No interactions
Concomitant use of the atazanavir/ritonavir combination with other HIV protease inhibitors is not recommended. There are no data on the simultaneous use of atazanavir with midazolam in the form of injections; based on data on the simultaneous use of other HIV protease inhibitors with midazolam, it can be assumed that the concentration of midazolam in plasma may increase by 3-4 times. -
Unclear interactions
HIV-1 protease inhibitors atazanavir, darunavir, fosamprenavir. Atazanavir. Ritonavir + Atazanavir analgin and citramon are used together in Atazor-R. Ritonavir. Alternatively, atazanavir 300 mg with ritonavir 100 mg can be used once a day with meals, 2 hours before and at least 10 hours after the use of H2-histamine receptor blockers in a single dose comparable to 40 mg famotidine. When prescribing a combination of atazanavir/ritonavir and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate with an H2-histamine receptor blocker to such patients, the following dosage regimen should be used: atazanavir 400 mg and ritonavir 100 mg once a day. There is also no significant change in the pharmacokinetic parameters of nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors under the influence of ritonavir.

Decoding the colors of interactions and contraindications
Dangerous | — | a pronounced negative interaction or contraindication. |
Negative | — | negative interaction or side effect that may reduce effectiveness. |
Positive | — | the interaction can SOMETIMES be used as a positive (often a dose adjustment is needed), or it is an indication of the drug. |
No | — | the drugs do NOT interact, which is separately indicated in the instructions. |
Unclear | — | the system failed to pre-assess the danger. |
