 Potassium acetate, 2C H3O2K. Preparation: Solutions in alcohol or water.

 Confusion with pains in the head, transient (first day). Headache about 4 p. m. (eleventh day). Dull headache in the morning (fourth day).
 Nose.
 Catarrh with some hoarseness, on which account the proving was suspended, though I was uncertain whether or not it was the effect of the drug. (fourth day).

 Constrictive dull pain in the stomach, extending to low down in the abdomen, gradually disappearing after two hours (first day) Dull, pressive pinching and constrictive pain in the epigastric region coming on a few minutes after each dose, and lasting an hour (first day).
 Abdomen.
 Pains in the region of the umbilicus, lasting without cessation till going to bed, when they suddenly disappeared, and I was able to sleep through the night (first day). Unnatural distension of the abdomen after supper (third day). Griping. Griping pain in the abdomen, transient (second day). Gnawing pain in the abdomen (third day). An indefinite gnawing pain in the abdomen, lasting an hour in the afternoon (fifth day). Gnawing sensation in he abdomen at 9.15 am which became painful after fifteen minutes and lasted till evening (sixth day).
 Rectum.
 Discharge of hemorrhoidal blood several times during the day (second day).
 Stool.
 Diarrhoea. Two evacuations (second day). Two stools in the evening (fifth day).

 Urine much increased in quantity and very watery, 16 ounces of urine in twenty four hours, containing 416 grains of solids; after 3 drachm had been taken in the course of twenty-four hours she passed 46 ounces of urine containing 782 grains of solids, with an excess of 72 grains of urea over the amount in the 16 ounces of urine passed when no medicine was taken. (20) While taking the drug there was an average daily increase of 208 grams of the urine; an increase of 206 gram of the of the aqueous portion of the urine; an increase of 1.98 gram of the solid constituents, decrease of 3,80 grams of the urea; decrease of.008 gram of the uric acid (the daily average before taking the drug being 0.008 gram, but while taking there was absolutely none) an increase of 6.94 grams of the inorganic salts; decrease of.54 of phosphatic earths decrease of 0.06 of phosphate of lime; decrease of.27 of phosphate of magnesia; decrease of 1.14 gram of volatile salts and extractives; the diminution of the earthy phosphates of phosphates, of the phosphate of lime and phosphate of magnesia is established;d that the inorganic salts are in- creased seems rest upon he fact that the prover was taking an inorganic salt; it is noteworthy that the amount of urea was only very slightly diminished, though the development of the carbonate of ammonia in the urine showed that there was active decomposition of the urea and uric acid, thence it is very probable that the quantity of urea is increased by acetate of potash. During the proving there was an active diminished in the amount of urine 36.25 Grams; a diminution of the aqueous portion of the urine 50.13 grams an increase of the solid constituents 13,88 grams; a decrease of the urea 76 gram; an increase of the uric acid 20 grams; Increase of mucus.16 gram, increase of inorganic salts 14.47 grams; decrease of the urea 76 gram an increase of inorganic salts 14,47 grams decrease of the phosphatic earths 1.50 gram.  Great weariness of all the limbs, with some headache (tenth day). Extreme weariness and trembling in all the limbs in the morning (fourth day).
 Inferior Extremities.
 The weariness in the lower limbs and the dull headache disappeared half an hour after the afternoon nap (fourth day).

 Dropsy (. Trembling and anxiety in the whole body of transient duration, soon (first day).

 Profuse perspiration, which was very offensive, during a walk of two hours (seventh day). Much perspiration on the head, especially from 11 to 1 o’clock (fourth day).

 Aggravation. (morning) Dull headache. Aggravation, (afternoon). About 4 o’clock, Headache; weariness, etc. in limbs.

 Amelioration, (Afternoon nap), weariness in lower limbs, etc.
