Mental
Delirium, with insensibility. Delirious, and ultimately quite insensible, lasting about twenty minutes (after two hours). An ecstasy, as if an ideal had appeared to a poetic painter, or like that which sometimes comes to a dying person, with bright eyes directed upward, a feeling of lovely warmth and ethereal lightness, during the painful diarrhoeas. Anxiety, with burning in the stomach and coldness of the body. Attacks of anxiety at night, which constrict the chest and do not permit sleep till towards morning. Anxious events easily disturb his equanimity, quite unusual with him. Ill-humored, laconic. Ill-humor returns to his mind in sleep; he wakes on account of it, and after falling asleep again, dreams of it.
Head, face, and ears
Confusion of the head for two days. сonfusion and stupefaction of the head (second day). сonfusion and heaviness of the head (after half an hour). сonstant confusion of the head (tenth day). Head confused, dizzy, as if he were turned around (fourth day). Head feels confused and almost without ideas (tenth day). Dizziness and vertigo, accompanied by great restlessness. Giddiness (after half and hour); (after one hour). Giddiness and pain on raising his head (second day). Giddiness, pain in the throat and stomach, and inclination to drowsiness (after ten minutes). Very giddy (after one hour). Extremely giddy (after two hours). General Head. Heaviness of the head (fourth day). Head heavy, confused (sixth and seventh days). Heat in the head, especially in the forehead (sixth day). Heat in the head and face (sixth day). Heat in the head and some catarrh at noon. сonstant heat and confusion of the head (tenth day). Great heat in the head, with heaviness (tenth day). Headache. Headache, after some minutes a pressing inward in the temples, lasting a half an hour. Forehead. Violent pain pressing into the temples, extending to the crown, disappearing in the open air, and returning on entering the house (second and third days). Occiput. Heat in the occiput (seventh day). Eyes.
Lids. Trembling of the left eyelid (first day). Repeated trembling of the left lid. Repeated trembling of the left upper lid. Itching of the lids, lasting several days. Itching and smarting of the margins of the lids, better after rubbing (first and second hours). Pupil. Pupil either normal or, in the opinion of many who observed the cases, markedly dilated, in those who had taken a large quantity of the poison. Pupils smaller than usual (sixth day). Vision. вright and dark spots before the eyes (fourth day). вlack points before the eyes (tenth day).
Ears.
Burning in the ears (sixth day). Aching in the right ear, lasting a quarter of an hour. Stitches in the left ear, several times. сonstant stitches deep in the left ear (sixth day). Hearing. Difficult hearing. Roaring in the ears.
Nose.
Objective. Ulcers in the nose and mouth. сatarrh and heat of the head, at noon. Sudden attack of coryza, with sneezing, running from the nose, frequent copious discharge of mucus, which very soon became alternately yellow and white, lasting a long time, with infrequent paroxysms of cough, with expectoration only with difficulty; in the intervals, however, frequent easy hawking of large lumps of mucus, together with transient headache at times here and there (after triturating). Sneezing. Sneezing, catarrh and discharge from the nose. Subjective. сonstant sensitive feeling in the nose, always on drawing in the air, which seems cold, although it is warms. Increased itching in the nose while eating.
Face.
Countenance pale and somewhat anxious (after four hours). Pale face with dark rings below the eyes, in the afternoon (second day). Feeling of warmth in the face, as with catarrh. сheeks. Pain in the left zygoma, gradually extending to the right, and ending with aching in the right ear (second day). Aching in the right zygoma. сontractive pain in the left muscles of mastication. Pressure in the left masseter muscles (fourth day). Pressive pain in the right muscles of mastication. Lips. Lips cracked and painful during the proving. Soreness of the left corner of the mouth.
Eyes.

Distressing sensation of dryness in the mouth, followed by a real dryness of the mouth and tongue without thirst, lasting the whole night from the second and the third day, then a feeling as if the mouth had been burnt, lasting till the sixth day, always worse at night. Sensation of heat and dryness in the mouth and throat (after four hours). вurning in the mouth and throat. вurning sensation in the mouth and throat, continuing over an hour (after ten or fifteen minutes). Saliva. Much saliva (fourth day). Increased accumulation of saliva (tenth day). Frequent accumulation of thin saliva (first day). Frequent spitting of saliva the whole morning, with a metallic bloody taste. Much spitting of saliva with the stools. Taste. Taste metallic, bloody, with frequent spitting of saliva, the whole morning. Insipid taste of the drug, very slightly nauseating, without acridity or heat; after swallowing, this taste became more decided at the back of the throat (three drops).
Throat.
Throat symptoms (after one hour). Throat affected (after three hours and a half). сomplained of his throat (after one hour). Pain in the throat (after one hour and a half). Gastrointestinal tract

Pain in the umbilical region. Pain about the umbilicus, with rumbling, emission of flatulence and desire for stool, in the morning (second day). Violent pain in the umbilical region, extending in to the left hypochondrium and left side of the chest (seventh day). Pain deep in the umbilical region. сonstant pain deep in the umbilical region. сonstant dull pain deep in the umbilical region (fourth day). Violent tearing pain deep in the umbilical region, aggravated by pressure (after one hour). Every attack of spasm in the bladder comes in with a twisting pain in the umbilicus, and extends downward to the neck of the bladder; these attacks, like the nausea, gradually disappear between 6 and 7 P. M.; they are preceded and followed by many noises of liquids in the abdomen and by sour eructations (tenth day). сrawling about the umbilicus the whole forenoon. General Abdomen. Distension of the abdomen (fourth day). Abdomen distended and soft. Abdomen moderately distended, soft, and painful deep in the umbilical region to slight pressure (seventh day). Abdomen distended, tympanitic (second and fourth day). Abdomen much distended, tense, tympanitic (first day). Abdomen tympanitic (seventh day). With much rumbling the abdomen soft (first day). Aching in the lower portion of the abdomen and inclination to stool, for some hours. Peculiar tension in the inguinal regions. Feeling of tension and protrusion in the left inguinal ring, at times, rising or blowing the nose, whereby the left leg is involuntarily flexed and drawn up towards the abdomen (sixth day). Pressing outward in the left inguinal ring blowing the nose (tenth day).
Rectum.
Violent burning in the rectum after a stool last an hour (first day). Stitches in the rectum (second, sixth and tenth days). Violent crawling of worms in the rectum, in the evening (first day). Soft hemorrhoidal swelling. Stitches in the orifice of the anus. Violent itching in the anus, at night in bed (fourth day). Inclination to stool (after half an hour). Much desire for stool. Great desire for diarrhoea like stool, in the morning (first and third days) Sudden desire for stool, and constant noises as of liquids in the abdomen, especially in the left side (sixth day).
Stool.
Diarrhoea. сopious diarrhoea, with watery stools, after which he felt much relieved (second day). Painless diarrhoea, with slight cramp like jerkings in both calves. Watery diarrhoea, as if it spurted from him Profuse mucous diarrhoea (after five hours and a quarter). Purging (after a quarter of an hour). (after two hours and a half). Severe purging, with tenesmus (after several hours). Purging of a violent character с (in the course of an hour); (in both cases). Very actively purged (after ten or fifteen minutes). Severely purged. Purged three or four times. Purged three or four times, very copiously (after three hours and a half). Stools copious, mucous, and not unlike the well-known rice- water stools. вowels moved copiously upwards of a dozen times; his stools being mucous and watery (after one hour).
