 Common сoltsfoot. вritish Herb Tobacco. Waste, sandy, clayey banks. N. O. сompositae. Tincture of fresh plant.

 Coughs. Scrofula.

Typical features

  Tussil. farfara is used to this day in the form of a confection for coughs. The leaves are mucilaginous and were much used in scrofulous affections. Smoking the dried leaves relieves coughs (Cooper). Tus. far. has also a popular reputation in gonorrhoea.
