 Анализ кала на норовирус направлен на поиск вирусного антигена методом иммунохроматографии. Показаниями к исследованию являются дифференциальная диагностика острых кишечных инфекций, протекающих при диарейном синдроме, профилактическое обследование на потенциальных норовирусоносителей, контроль лечения инфекции. Норовирусный гастроэнтерит чаще вызывается вирусами генотипов I и II. Максимальное выделение норовируса с фекалиями происходит в первые двое суток болезни, поэтому в этот период целесообразно сдавать биоматериал.
