Description

 Olfactometry. Диагностическая техника используется для оценки остроты обоняния. При проведении исследований используется специальное устройство (ольфактометр), состоящее из нескольких полых цилиндров, содержащих пахучее вещество. Один конец трубки вставлен в цилиндр, другой - в нос пациента. Чем глубже труба погружена в цилиндр, тем больше молекул вещества попадает в нос субъекта. По результатам ольфактометрии определяют обонятельный порог для различных веществ. Единицей измерения степени обоняния является количество сантиметров, на которое труба была погружена в пахучее вещество.
