 Тест ДНК на материнство необходим в ситуациях, когда есть сомнения в биологическом родстве матери и ребенка. При проведении молекулярно-генетического анализа сравниваются профили ДНК и проводится поиск совпадений по определенным аутосомным маркерам. Анализ проводится в ознакомительных целях (для себя), с целью оформления опеки и наследства, при назначении судебно-медицинской экспертизы. Участниками исследования являются предполагаемая мать, ребенок (или дети) и, если необходимо, отец. ДНК-тест проводится на стандартных (буккальный эпителий) или нестандартных образцах (другой биоматериал). Стоимость зависит от количества участников, типа исследовательского материала.
