 Животное укусило g. bennett за второй и безымянный пальцы. У него возникло ощущение, будто он обжегся крапивой. Через несколько минут появилась ужасная тупая боль в суставах пальцев, которая распространилась вверх по руке и охватила предплечье, локтевой сустав. Боль усиливалась от водных компрессов, при движении и когда в процесс были вовлечены суставы. Она распространилась на плечевые суставы и грудные мышцы, что привело к стеснению дыхания. Через полчаса симптомы начали ослабевать, оставив после себя онемение в руке и пузырек в месте укуса.
